Team Red Cross To Run the 2009 New York City Marathon

For New York City residents and marathon runners, November 1 marks the day of the annual New York City Marathon. The first New York City marathon began in 1970 with a mere one hundred twenty-seven runners eager to participate in the 26.2 mile race. Today thousands of people come to New York City to run the marathon. Many will aim for a specific time to finish it in and many are happy if they can just finish the marathon.
