American Red Cross getting involved in high culture in DC to supplement vehicle donation
Vehicle Donations August 17th, 2009The American Red Cross has an awful lot going on in Washington, D.C., and much of it includes helping out other charities, too. While the organization has to worry about its own vehicle donation program to raise funds, it has also taken a leading role in helping other charities raise funds.
Earlier this year, the American Red Cross hosted the only viewing party in the Washington area for the Oscars. That was one of the many events intended to bring the DC community together for the betterment of everyone. While the Oscar viewing party might have been the most high profile effort to add to the vehicle donation program, the American Red Cross is doing other things, too.
The Fire and Ice Ball is one of the top events of the year, as many people show good will in donating to the Red Cross. That is yet another night where high culture meets with charity to bring the DC area a little bit closer. This event is done to directly support the troops overseas and also their families here at home.
The American Red Cross is about much more than just vehicle donation. When you donate a vehicle, you help directly, but you can also help the American Red Cross by coming to one of the many fundraising events. It is a fun night for you, as well as an excellent way to bring out the charitable bones in your body. Given how well the events are organized, there is no excuse for not coming out.
