Goodwill Industries® , a leader in career training programs for the disabled and disadvantaged, has a program that answers one of the nation’s most dangerous dilemma – the nursing shortage. With fewer people turning to nursing as a career, hospitals across the country are working with shorter staffs at a time when more hands are needed than ever. Like other Goodwill Industries® programs, this program depends on auto donation to continue to operate. This customized training program offers interested individuals the opportunity to develop a career in nursing with a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) designation as well as Home Health Aide training. The program offers both classroom and hands on clinical training to prepare students for certification. Goodwill® continues to solicit car donations to keep this program running.
When you donate a car to charity like Goodwill Industries® , you can be sure that the proceeds from the sale of the car will go toward funding this important program. Goodwill® pioneered the way for charities to accept car donations back in the seventies when the second nation wide oil embargo forced many people to get rid of their gas guzzling vehicles. Goodwill was only too happy to accept those car donations and today needs people to donate a car more than ever in these rough economic times. When you donate a car to Goodwill Industries® your car donation is sold to support employment, placement programs and job training such as the nursing assistant program that is so desperately need across the nation. If you have a car you no longer use or need, what better way to help your community than to donate your used car to Goodwill Industries® ?
If you’re ready to donate a car, Goodwill® recommends you donate to a charity you know and trust. The Goodwill® name has been recognized as a community leader in vehicle donation for over thirty years. Most importantly, the organization you choose to donate a car to should inform you of what percentage of the charity’s donations are used to directly fund their programs. Goodwill Industries® is proud to let the community know that eighty-four percent of its auto donations are put directly into its job training and career services to help better the communities in which they serve.
