Goodwill of Central Arizona Puts People to Work

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

Goodwill of Central Arizona was started in 1947. On March 19, 2009, they held a Job Fair in Phoenix. If you missed this event, don’t worry because Goodwill Industries is committed to helping people with jobs and employment in your community, wherever you might live. This help can’t be provided without people like you, though.

It doesn’t matter if you’re donating a bag of old clothes or that couch from your basement, as long as it’s in good shape or repairable, Goodwill Industries will be able to make use of it. If you want to really go all out, there are bigger donations you can make. If you’ve ever thought about donating your auto to a charity, Goodwill Industries could really use your donation. Quit stalling and make the decision to help people in your community by donating your car.

Once given to Goodwill Industries, your vehicle will be fixed up and sold at auction. From helping someone who needs cheap, reliable transportation to generating revenue for Goodwill Industries to use in their job training and job placement programs, there are a lot of benefits to donating your used car to a charity – especially one like Goodwill Industries with a proven track record of helping people.

Putting people to work sometimes means getting them reliable transportation to and from work. Without people like you donating cars and trucks, Goodwill Industries would be a lot less able to help people with this aspect of the work world. It seems like a small thing to a lot of us who take it for granted, but for some, reliable transportation could be the one thing missing from their attempts to be successful and self-sufficient. If you’ve ever wanted to make a difference, donating your car to Goodwill Industries can be a first step down that road.

Goodwill South Texas Carries on Circle of Hope

Thursday, April 2nd, 2009

Goodwill South Texas believes in continuing the Circle of Hope. What they mean by this is the way Goodwill Industries is setup to help people. By receiving donations from local citizens, they’re able to employ people to fix up and sell those items. Revenue generated is used to pay employees and also for various vocational and life training programs. This is the Circle of Hope that recycles items you might not need anymore and lets them be put to use helping other people.

The Circle of Hope is really a wonderful thing when you stop and think about it. The problem is that in today’s hectic hustle and bustle world, some people don’t take the time to stop and think things through. Goodwill Industries has survived for over a hundred years on this principle, though, relying on donations from people to help other people. If you’ve never donated before, you’re not doing your part to help complete the Circle of Hope.

Beyond just clothes and other items, Goodwill Industries’ Circle of Hope also depends on car donations. If you’ve thought about getting rid of your second car (or one that’s sitting in your garage), before you sell it or give it away to someone else, think about how it could help with the Circle of Hope. A single car donation can go a long way in letting Goodwill Industries do what they do best – help people in your community become self-sufficient.

Charity Dispatch makes the whole process easier for you and can help you with all the steps necessary for donating your car to charity. If you want to help with the Circle of Hope created by Goodwill Industries, donating your used car or truck can go a long way in helping them help people.

Auto Donations Really Help Goodwill Industries

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

Everyone is familiar enough with Goodwill Industries to know they sell clothes and furniture at really reasonable rates to help people in various ways. On the one hand, they make the items available to people who need them but can’t afford to buy new. On the other hand, they use the money they make from selling the items to fund programs to help people with job training and job placement. This is really a great system that has worked for over a hundred years, helping countless people.

Beyond clothes and furniture, though, Goodwill Industries are really helped when people like you donate your vehicle. The same principle applies to automobiles – people save money buying the car and Goodwill Industries is able to use the money to help people in the community in other ways. For the system to work, though, they need people like you to donate cars that you might not need anymore.

Whatever the reason, if you’ve been thinking about getting rid of your second car – either selling it or giving it away – consider giving it to Goodwill Industries so they can use it to help people in your local community. While the process can seem daunting sometimes, Charity Dispatch can help, even making sure your car donation goes to the Goodwill Industries location you want.

If donating your car to charity is something you’ve never thought of before, you should spend some time thinking about it and how a simple act could really help someone in your community. Beyond that, you can also get a tax deduction based on how much Goodwill Industries is able to sell the car for at auction. Any way you look at it, you and your community come out winners, which is what it’s all about when you help people.
